There are three different calculations that this calculator can perform. The calculation they do perform depends on the values you enter. Every calculation requires values A and B. If both C and D are absent, this calculator will simply multiply both the A and B values by two and put the results in the next ratio.

If only C is absent this calculator will calculate C so the two ratios are equal. To perform this operation yourself, first arrange the ratios like fractions, putting an

*x*where appropriate. Next, cross-multiply the two fractions fully. Afterwards, divide both sides by the D value.

When D is absent instead of C, the calculator will find D instead. The process for finding D is similar to the process of finding C, except you must switch the C and D values.

If you enter all four values, this calculator will decide whether the two ratios are equal. To perform this calculation yourself, divide A by B and divide C by D. If the two results are equal, so are the ratios. Otherwise, the ratios are not equal.
